Tastevella is written for home cooks and is not directed at children. The site does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. What Tastevella Collects
Two categories of information pass through this site.
Information you provide directly:
- Name and email address, when you comment, subscribe to updates, or contact Tastevella
- Any details you include in a message sent through the contact form
- Payment information, only if Tastevella ever sells a product or digital download directly, and only processed through a secure third-party payment provider
How That Information Gets Collected
Tastevella gathers information through a handful of ordinary channels: the comment form on recipe posts, the newsletter signup box, the contact form, and automatically through server log files and analytics tools whenever a page loads. No hidden collection methods are used beyond what’s described in this policy.
How Tastevella Uses What It Collects
Information collected through Tastevella is used to operate and improve the site, respond to comments and messages, send requested updates or newsletters, understand which recipes and guides are actually useful to readers, and protect the site against spam, abuse, and fraud.
More specifically, that means using your email to reply when you write in, using aggregate traffic data to decide which recipes need clearer instructions or better photos, using your newsletter preferences to send only the content you signed up for, and using automatically collected data to spot unusual activity that might indicate a security problem.
Comments and How They’re Handled
When you leave a comment on a recipe or article, that comment, along with the name and email you provide, is stored so Tastevella can respond and moderate the discussion. Comments are generally retained indefinitely, since they stay useful to other readers with the same question.
Gravatar, if used, may check whether your email is associated with a Gravatar account, and Gravatar’s own privacy policy governs that check. If you interact with Tastevella through social media, that platform’s own privacy practices apply to whatever you post there.
Cookies and How to Manage Them
Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device to remember preferences and understand how the site is being used. Tastevella uses cookies for things like remembering whether you’ve seen a particular notice, keeping analytics accurate, and, potentially, supporting future advertising features.

Links to Other Sites
Tastevella links out to other websites, whether that’s a source for a technique, a tool recommended in a post, or a store where an ingredient can be purchased.

When Information Might Be Shared
Tastevella doesn’t sell personal information. Tastevella uses reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect the information it collects, including secure hosting, encrypted connections where applicable, and restricted access to any stored data, limited to what’s needed to run the site and respond to visitors.
That said, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and Tastevella can’t guarantee absolute security, no matter how carefully it’s handled.
Rights for Visitors in the European Union
If you’re located in the European Union, the GDPR gives you specific rights over your personal data, and Tastevella honors all of them:
- The right to access the personal information Tastevella holds about you
- The right to have inaccurate information corrected
- The right to request deletion of your information
- The right to restrict or object to certain processing
